History

   "Loh Ah Tao" is the name for the group of workers who transport goods from the ship to the stores in Phuket town (Tongkah). During the period there were no bridge that connects to the mainland (presently there is the Sarasin Bridge) and all types of goods and products come from Penang (Malaysia), which is evident from the buildings and houses in Phuket town. Thus, there are 3 groups of people in the transportation businesses of the era, which are “Bang-niew Transportation Limited Partnership” that is comprised with Group 11, Group 8 and Group 3, where originally the transportation method utilized wagons in transporting goods but later steam cars then petrol and diesel were employed following each changing period; including both four-wheeled and six-wheeled vehicles.

   Group 3 are "Fakthongphol district (First generation)", was established approximately in 1950 at the address 218/1 Phuket Road, Amphur Muang, Phuket province (Bang-niew). Later in 1968 "Fakthongphol district (First generation)" has ceased operations (deceased). Afterwards there was "Fakthongphol Co., Ltd. (Second generation)" which, at that moment, was not established to fully handle all operations and the company was the first in Phuket to also initiate development of transportation from four-wheelers and six-wheelers to ten-wheelers and trailers. This is to enhance the company's potential by building various laborsaving devices and changing the name to "Fakthongphol Co., Ltd. (Second generation)". Later on, Group 11 and Group 8 dissolved  and in 1986 "Fakthongphol Co., Ltd. (Second generation)" established "Phuket Lumliang Transport Co., Ltd." in order to accommodate the expansion of transportation assignments to Bangkok. The company office is located at 54 Moo 2, Tambon Koh Kaew, Muang Thepkrasattri, Phuket (Bypass intersection).

   In 1991, there was an explosion accident that occurred at Thung Maphrao, Phang Nga province and in 1997 the burst of the Economic Bubble caused the company to experience many various problems that eventually lead to the company going out of business.

   In 1999, the company was founded again under the name "Fakthong Transport Co., Ltd. (Third generation)" with the office located at 115 Moo 5, Tarou – Pa Klok Road, T. Srisoonthorn, A. Thalang, Phuket. The company offers transportation services for all products across Thailand by utilizing four-wheelers, six-wheelers, ten-wheelers, trailers, mobile cranes, forklifts and also rentable warehouses for clients.
